What is Haemophilia?
Haemophilia is a genetic disorder of Clotting Factor manifested by uncontrolled bleeding on the site of injury.
What are the other bleeding disorders?
Thrombocytopenic purpura, von-Willebrand, Leukemia, Anemia, etc… are some of the other bleeding disorders.
How do you do dental treatment for these conditions?
The patients suffering from these conditions cannot be handled like other normal patients. They must be monitored of their Factor levels and adequate precaution like FFP,
Cryoprecipitate and Whole Blood etc must be ready for administration.
Is your clinic equipped to handle such patients?
Yes. Patients with Bleeding Disorders are handled under the guidance of our center’s medical director, who is a Haematologist.
